Curtains & blinds for North Shore.

A coordinated approach for North Shore homes, from sheltered rooms with established gardens to exposed glazing and busy street frontages.

Respect the house without repeating the same treatment everywhere.

The same house may combine older timber windows with a modern glazed extension. A tailored Roman can keep joinery visible in a study, while a curtain at a wide sliding door needs enough stack-back to leave the opening usable. Coordinate fabric tone and lining colour rather than forcing every window into one construction.

Bring room photographs that show cornices, pelmets and surrounding cabinetry. Where mature planting filters daylight, assess a hanging sheer sample before adding more diffusion. For road-facing rooms, manage night-time privacy separately from acoustic expectations.

Make the site visit useful.

Send a photograph of each opening and a wider view showing the surrounding wall, ceiling and furniture. Describe when the problem is most noticeable: afternoon glare, night-time overlooking, difficult reach or sleep disruption.

CCBD will work through the fabric, lining, fitting position and control as one specification. Site measurements and hardware suitability are confirmed before manufacture. We do not assume every home in the area needs the same product.

  • Identify each window consistently across photographs and plans.
  • Note any planned flooring, ceiling work or electrical changes.
  • Tell us about building access and any restrictions that need checking.

Before you decide

Questions & answers

Should I order from my own measurements?

Your approximate dimensions help an initial discussion, but the final order needs verified measurements, hardware allowances and installation details. Fabric or system size is not simply the glass dimension.

Can different rooms use different products?

Yes. A coordinated scheme can use curtains at wide doors, Romans at smaller windows and rollers or shutters where their operation suits the room. The palette and visible detailing can connect the different treatments.

A conversation, then a considered specification

Let’s resolve the details.

Bring your room photographs, plans or fabric ideas. We will work through light, privacy, proportions and installation before the specification is finalised.
