A sash lock, inward-opening casement or projecting architrave can limit a recess-mounted blind. Face fitting may provide better coverage, but its overlap and raised stack must still sit comfortably within the surrounding wall. Measure obstructions in use, not only when the window is closed.
Renovated rear living areas often need a different response from street-facing bedrooms. Coordinate visible fabric tones while choosing each room’s privacy and operation separately. Where road noise is noticeable, acoustic curtains should be discussed alongside the window and building condition, not treated as a guaranteed replacement for envelope improvements.

Send a photograph of each opening and a wider view showing the surrounding wall, ceiling and furniture. Describe when the problem is most noticeable: afternoon glare, night-time overlooking, difficult reach or sleep disruption.

Should I order from my own measurements?
Your approximate dimensions help an initial discussion, but the final order needs verified measurements, hardware allowances and installation details. Fabric or system size is not simply the glass dimension.
Can different rooms use different products?
Yes. A coordinated scheme can use curtains at wide doors, Romans at smaller windows and rollers or shutters where their operation suits the room. The palette and visible detailing can connect the different treatments.
