Solve overlooking without darkening a narrow room.
A street-facing window can require privacy at eye level while benefiting from light above. Compare adjustable cellular configurations with layered curtains or Romans, but check that the selected system can provide the intended positions. A sheer on its own should not be specified as assured night-time privacy.
In a terrace, the wall beside a window may be limited, so stack-back needs to be considered before choosing generous curtains. At exposed glazing, examine both the face and backing of the proposed fabric in direct light and confirm the care and sun-exposure guidance for the selected range.
Make the site visit useful.
Send a photograph of each opening and a wider view showing the surrounding wall, ceiling and furniture. Describe when the problem is most noticeable: afternoon glare, night-time overlooking, difficult reach or sleep disruption.
CCBD will work through the fabric, lining, fitting position and control as one specification. Site measurements and hardware suitability are confirmed before manufacture. We do not assume every home in the area needs the same product.
- Identify each window consistently across photographs and plans.
- Note any planned flooring, ceiling work or electrical changes.
- Tell us about building access and any restrictions that need checking.

Questions & answers
Should I order from my own measurements?
Your approximate dimensions help an initial discussion, but the final order needs verified measurements, hardware allowances and installation details. Fabric or system size is not simply the glass dimension.
Can different rooms use different products?
Yes. A coordinated scheme can use curtains at wide doors, Romans at smaller windows and rollers or shutters where their operation suits the room. The palette and visible detailing can connect the different treatments.
