How do developers keep window furnishings consistent across a building?
Agree a specification matrix per apartment type, price it for the project, then repeat the approved selections through each stage. The example below is a planning illustration, not a prescribed product schedule.
| Apartment type | Living | Bedrooms | Wet areas |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example: 2-bed | Sheer + blockout curtain, double track | Blockout Roman or curtain | Roller blind |
Display suites before the wider rollout
Curtains and Roman blinds in a display suite help show the finished window treatment. The approved product and fabric schedule can then be applied to the relevant apartment types, subject to the actual site check measure before each manufacturing stage.
Staged installation to settlement
Floor-by-floor scheduling is coordinated with the builder and building access. The project schedule records apartment types, products and installation stages, so the team can plan each handover and maintain consistency through the development.

Project questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you fit out the display suite first?
Yes. A display suite can establish the selected curtain, blind or blockout specification before the wider apartment rollout. We record the agreed fabric, lining, hardware and fitting details in a schedule. The same specification can then be used for relevant apartment types, with actual openings checked on site before manufacture.
Can the same specification be used across stages?
Yes. CCBD can keep one approved specification per apartment type and use it across staged manufacture and installation. A window-by-window schedule records products, fabrics, linings, tracks and fittings. Current fabric or component availability must be reconfirmed for later stages, and any variation should be approved before it is made.
How do you work with building access requirements?
The project contact coordinates installation stages with the builder and the building access arrangements. CCBD can plan work floor by floor and record access conditions in the project schedule. A site check measure happens before manufacture, and installation timing is agreed against the settlement program rather than assumed from the original drawings.
What lead times apply to large orders?
Curtains and Roman blinds usually take 4–6 weeks, blockout curtains are available from about 2 weeks, roller blinds take 2–3 weeks with express within 1 week available, and PVC shutters take 2–4 weeks. These are from order confirmation and depend on fabric availability, quantities and site conditions. Larger orders should be scheduled in stages.
How is development pricing set?
Pricing is quoted for each development rather than taken from a published list. The quotation considers apartment types, the number of windows, selected products, fabrics, hardware, staged installation and site access. A dedicated contact replies within two business days to review the brief and identify what is needed for a final specification.
Can we choose hard-wearing fabrics?
Yes. CCBD has 600+ fabrics, including stain-resistant and abrasion-resistant options for high-use rooms. The selected treatment must still suit each opening, lining requirement and care routine. We compare actual samples and document the chosen fabric in the apartment-type specification so it can be repeated consistently across the project.
